I am a firm believer in the art of storytelling, and music as a medium for stories.
My 2022 debut solo album, Bard, is a collection of tunes that have links to Scottish, Irish, and Nordic history. Drawing from a mix of older Scottish tunes and self-composed tunes, this album is a unique, dark reimagining of Scottish music and a tribute to the stories that shaped these countries.
I am currently working on a new album and is set to record in late 2026. My sophomore album is a bit more personal and reflective than the debut, as it interprets much of my personal experiences through a self-penned dark fantasy story. The story and the music are completely original and I cannot wait for everyone to hear what I’ve been creating.
In my usual concert repertoire, I primarily draw from a wide repertoire of eighteenth century Scottish tunes from the Gows, Marshall, and more.

Having won the 2025 Celtic Connections Battle of the Folk Bands as our second ever gig, Dauntless is an exciting up-and-coming progressive traditional music trio. Joining forces with the mandolinist/drummer Rory Carter and cellist Josiah Duhlstine, Dauntless uses music from all eras of traditional music, primarily focusing on both eighteenth century fiddle music and original compositions. We seek to blend these influences into a consistently interesting, fresh, and authentic listening experience. Our dynamic repertoire ranges from foot-stomping, groovy tunes to poignant, thought-provoking meditations that will enchant any audience.
I am very open about my love of metal, as the first album I truly fell in love with was Black Sabbath’s Paranoid.
Dal Riata is a folk/melodic death metal band based in Glasgow. Our music blends the Gaelic language, Scottish folklore and history, blast beats, and fiddle tunes into a unique package of Scottish melodeath. We currently have an EP in the works!
