My Teaching Practice
I believe that inherently, music is a sequence of problem-solving. I bring this approach to my teaching practice, in that every problem a student brings to me or every difficult piece of music is a puzzle to be solved.
For example, if a student's wrist hurts, maybe the answer is to hold their bow differently or to do some tension-relieving exercises.
Some students prefer a traditional structure with homework and provided music, whereas others prefer to lead and bring their own music to their lessons. I believe each student is unique and requires a individual, personalized approach so that they can achieve their musical goals. It is my job to support and guide them in their musical journey.
Lessons are priced at $45 per hour. I teach online, usually via Microsoft Teams, but can be flexible to the student's choice of platform.
